Mail Hub encrypts sensitive stored values using the installation APP_KEY.
Do not regenerate or replace APP_KEY after mailbox passwords, provider tokens, AI credentials or other encrypted secrets have been stored. Replacing the key can make existing encrypted data unreadable.
Always preserve the production .env during application upgrades.
